A student in the United Kingdom is getting roasted online for launching a GoFundMe campaign, asking the public to donate money for her tuition because she blew all her college funds at nightclubs.
The 18-year-old student of the University of Newcastle identified as Emma McCormick, who traveled from Ireland to study in Newcastle, said she didn't realize the cost
of her hang outs at nightclubs could drain her entire bank account.
She also spent at all coffee shops in Newcastle, went to the movies, ice skating, beach, and random days away. She also bought herself a new bike.
The student who disclosed she is inspired by Kanye West said:
"After embarking on a voyage to the mainland, I've faced the hardships that every student has. The costs of nightclub entry and trebles do add up, while the overdraft hits sky rocket figures. If Kanye West can receive donations I hope I can too."
Her campaign which has gotten her about $1000 has received an avalanche of negative comments with people calling for her to be thrown out of the university.
An online comment from someone identified as Lisa Meehan read:
"I strongly doubt any campaign to fund stupidity will get much traction. Grow up, get a proper job and learn how to act at least a bit like an adult. I'd hate to be your parents right now after the complete joke you've made of yourself internationally. I'd disown my kids if they did crap like you."
