President Muhammadu Buhari has called on the Niger Delta Avengers and all those calling for the break up of the country, that the unity of the nation is not negotiable and to keep Nigeria one is a task that must be done.
The President made call while speaking at the Presidential Villa when residents of the Federal Capital Territory led by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo paid a Sallah homage after the Eid prayers in Abuja.
The president stated that his administration has made a lot of improvement in the fight against Boko Haram in the Northeast, describing the actions of the Niger Delta Avengers as uncalled for.
He noted that his administration is making concerted effort to reach out to the leadership of the militants in the Niger Delta Region to persuade them to give peace a chance.
He has assured that justice will be done to the people of the Niger Delta Region and further called on those who stole public funds to return them in peace so that his administration will work with it.
