Lebron James Dedicates NBA Title To Home Fans

Cleveland Cavaliers forward, Lebron James, 31, has dedicated their NBA title to the Cleveland fans after beating the Golden State Warriors 93-89 in Game 7 of the finals on Sunday.

The Cavs came back from a 3-1 loss in the series to win the game 4-3 in Game 7, making them the first team to comeback from a 3-1 loss to win the title in the NBA.

“Absolutely, just knowing what our city has been through, northeast Ohio has been through, as far as our sports and everything for the last 50-plus years,” James said, quickly mentioning past shortcomings of all of Cleveland’s teams.

“Our fans, they ride or die, no matter what’s been going on. For us to be able to end this drought, our fans deserve it. It was for them,” James told Los Angeles Times.

The cavaliers had to wait for 52 years to win their first NBA title, credit to the Most Valuable Player of the Finals, James who, over the 7 games averaged 29.7 points, 11.3 rebounds and 8.9 assists, with an effective field goal percentage of 53.3.

He became the third player to record a triple-double in Game 7 of the Finals, joining Jerry West in 1969 and James Worthy in 1988.
